Text Box

Text box

In Bloom, a text box is an outlined area on the page where you can type text. Source text and Bloom callout box show examples.

Some of the features of text boxes:

  • When you click a text box, the outline color changes, and the insertion point (blinking vertical bar) appears.

  • When you type or paste content, it appears at the insertion point.

  • A red font color or a red line in a text box means that it is too full.

  • Click the gear () in the lower corner of a text box to open the Format dialog box.

  • You can use the Change Layout controls to insert text boxes on pages.

You can change properties of text boxes in the Text Box Properties dialog box.

Tip

  • You add speech bubbles and more with the Overlay Tool.

  • The Image Description Tool uses text boxes that can be hidden and stored metadata about pictures. Until it is changed, it inherits the default font and font size independent of the Normal style.
