Choose text or background colors

When you use the Overlay Tool, you can choose colors for the text, background, or for the outer outline. You change the colors separately, one speech bubble (and any child bubble), text block or caption at a time.

  1. Click a speech bubble, caption or text block that you want to change.

  2. In the Overlay Tool, click Text Color or Background Color.

  3. Use the Text Color dialog box or Background Color dialog box to choose the color.

In the Overlay Tool, the Background Color button shows the percent transparent.

  1. Click OK.

  2. Optionally, click Outer Outline Color and then click one of the available colors, or click None.

  3. Do the steps again for another speech bubble, text block or caption until each one on the current page.

  4. In the Pages pane, click another page and do these steps again.

Important

  • When you configure a style, you use similar dialog boxes to choose colors that appear to highlight the words you hear in the audio. Those colors temporarily replace the text and background colors you chose here.

Note

  • The transparency slider control is not available for captions due to its shadowed border.
