Publish to PDF & Print

In the Collections tab, click the book and then click the Publish tab. Then, do these steps:

  1. In the left pane, select (picpic PDF & Print.

  2. In the right pane, click one of these options (if available):

    • pic Simple to make a simple *.pdf file from entire book, instead of a booklet.

    •  pic Booklet Cover to make a *.pdf file from only the front cover, credits and back cover pages in the file. You might print the cover on colored paper, or on heavier weight paper.

    •  pic Booklet Insides to make a *.pdf file from only the inside pages of the book. These pages are arranges so that when you fold the pages, the booklet is ready to staple.

The book appears in the center pane. Here are controls you can use on the toolbar:

  •  (Contents) - Click to hide or show the table of contents.

  •  (Zoom out and Zoom in) - Click to zoom out or zoom in on the displayed page.

You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + minus key or Ctrl+ plus key.

  •  (Fit to width) - Click to reset the zoom so the pages fill the center pane in Bloom. 

You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+\.

  •  of (Page number) - Edit the page number in the box.

You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+G to select the page number you will edit. Press enter to go to that page.

  •  (Page view) - Click and then click Single page to display one page, or Two page to display two pages. For Two page, you can choose to show the cover page separately ().

  •  (Find) - Click to open a search box where you can type the word or words you want to find.

  1. Below Prepare for Printshop, do any of these optional steps:
  • Select (pic) Full Bleed  . 

  • Choose a CMYK option, None or U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2.

  1. Save or print the file.

Distinguishing information is appended to the file name if you save a *.pdf file.

Important

  • If the page size and orientation set in the Edit tab will not allow a booklet with folded pages, Booklet Cover and Booklet Insides are not available.

  • Full Bleed  - Bleed is the edge of the printed page that is trimmed off during binding. Currently, it works for Paper Comic Books. You might want to get more help.

  • CMYK color - CMYK color is a color model that refers to the cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black).
